Jesse’s Best Tomato Plants is, literally, a one-man operation that is focused on providing consumers with rare, interesting, and popular vegetable plants.
Jesse’s Best Tomato Plants' mission is to increase access to vegetable plants that are hard or impossible to find from commercial growers. While JBTP does offer some popular varieties as well, the focus is placed on less-traditional varieties of plants for home gardeners to grow.
Overarching Learning Goals
The initial goal is to encourage people to grow their own food and to be bold and grow things outside the popular garden varieties. Eating better and continual improvement is great, but giving information to those who may not have the same level of knowledge is key.
The audience will be able to gain facts and learn pertinent information about growing tomatoes in order to start to grow their own food.
Design: This is a sample course that covers basic growing techniques.
Implementation: A QR link will be printed on business cards as well as a link on the website to access the course.
Evaluation: Since this is an informal course, giving information about tomatoes, there is no formal evaluation. Feedback will be taken on user experience and then updated in the course.
